We’ve been using Joost.com around the office now for a while. The online video broadcasting app works well enough and the quality of the video is quite good. Overall it’s a really good user experience but it all comes down to content and that’s something that’s been lacking thus far.

This may change soon as Joost have announced that they’ve signed deals with the likes of CNN, Sony and the NHL This sounds great but must also be taken with a grain of salt as Sony has so far only confirmed they’ll be allowing content such as Charlie’s Angels and Starsky & Hutch. We have a feeling that the CNN content will also be fairly “tailored”. Still this is all a move in the right direction and the interweb is abuzz with rumours that Joost will soon come out of Beta and be available to one and all.
